Lonna Capaci, Visitor Services Manager & Historic Resources Manager
Lonna Capaci serves as the Visitor Services Manager and Historic Resources Manager for the Albany Visitors Association. As the first point of contact, she warmly welcomes visitors and locals alike, answering calls, curating the event calendar, stocking brochures, and ensuring the Visitor Center radiates friendliness.
In her role as Historic Resources Manager, Lonna acts as a liaison for historic sites such as the Monteith House and the Albany Regional Museum, assisting in ways that promote and support them. She also helps organize Albany’s two annual historic home tours, helping to showcase the city’s rich history.
Having lived in the Albany area for over 40 years (on and off), Lonna knows the community well. She and her husband, Rollie, have raised six children and now enjoy life with four grandchildren and three dogs. An extrovert at heart, she thrives on connecting with people and attending social gatherings. When she’s not busy 'hosting Albany,' you might find her reading, journaling, learning to draw birds that (hopefully) don’t always look like chickens, or singing jazz—watch the calendar for her next appearance!
Drop by the Visitor Center and say hi—Lonna can't wait to share Albany’s rich history and charm with you!
