History Bites
Embalming in the American Civil War

The American Civil War played a significant role in shaping the modern funeral economy and the practices used to care for the deceased. Historian and Natty Dresser owner Oscar Hult will share insights on mid-nineteenth century embalming practices, their history, and more.

History Bites is free to attend. Viewing the exhibits requires paid admission. Light refreshments will be provided.
