The Black Sheep Gathering 2026

The 52nd annual Black Sheep Gathering returns to the Linn County Expo Center with a vibrant celebration of natural-colored animals and their fiber. This three-day event features a lively marketplace of more than 100 vendors—including local artisans from the Willamette Valley and beyond—offering everything from handcrafted yarns and roving to finished garments and tools.

Schedule Highlights
• Friday through Sunday workshops: led by top instructors in weaving, spinning, dyeing, felting, and more. Classes typically include a material fee and cover supplies such as thread for heddles.
• Educational talks, demonstrations, and the Fiber Arts Show are held in the same building as the marketplace.

Community Potluck & Spinners’ Lead
On Saturday evening, enjoy a community potluck with BBQ dinner and live music. The highlight is the Spinners’ Lead, where fiber artists model their handmade garments alongside the animals that supplied the fiber—a unique celebration of craft and connection.

Admission & Parking
Admission and parking are free throughout the event.

This gathering is one of the nation’s premier fiber festivals and a must-visit for those interested in small-scale, sustainable fiber arts. Whether you're a spinner, weaver, or simply curious, you’ll find craftspeople, animals, and inspiration all under one roof.
