2026 Albany Visitors Association Photography Contest
Calling all photographers - local and visiting! Show us your best shots featuring Albany, Linn County, and the Willamette Valley. We’ll award a Champion and Reserve Champion for the overall contest, as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category. The People’s Choice Award will be determined by public vote via a survey. We will award two prizes in the Youth category: one for best photo and one for micro-video. Selected images may be featured in our marketing materials, including websites, social media, visitor guides, and promotional content, inspiring travelers to discover and experience all our area has to offer.
Categories:
- Downtown – Capture the energy and charm of Albany’s downtown district.
- Events – Showcase the excitement of Albany’s festivals, parades, and community gatherings.
- Food – Highlight the delicious flavors of Albany, from local eateries to farmers' markets.
- Historic Albany – Celebrate the city's rich history through its architecture, landmarks, and heritage sites.
- Landmarks – Feature iconic and unique locations that define Albany.
- People – Tell a story through portraits and candid shots of locals and visitors alike.
- Scenic – Share breathtaking views of Albany’s natural beauty, from parks to riverscapes.
- Student Category – Open to photographers under 18.
Photo Location Requirement
All photographs must be taken within Albany, Linn County, or the surrounding Willamette Valley.
Deadline for Submissions
5 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026
