The Albany Beer "Run"

The Corvallis Lions Club will host the annual Albany Beer “Run” on Saturday, September 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This 0.3K fundraising event begins at Calapooia Brewing, located at 140 Hill St. NE in Albany, and concludes at Deluxe Brewing, 635 NE Water Ave., Albany.
Pre-registration is $30 per participant, with proceeds supporting Prevent A Litter (PAL), a local nonprofit promoting responsible dog guardianship through spay/neuter assistance and education.
Designed for the below-average athlete and weekend warrior, the Albany Beer “Run” starts with a beer garden at Calapooia Brewing, opening at 11:00 a.m. Each registered participant receives a pint of Calapooia Brewing craft beer before the race begins at 12:00 p.m. Midway through the “run,” participants can stop at a carb-loading donut station before finishing at Deluxe Brewing with a second pint of complimentary craft beer.
Both brewery locations will offer food and beverages, including non-alcoholic options, for purchase. Well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome. The event is family-friendly, but beer tickets may only be redeemed by participants who are of legal drinking age and present valid identification.
Advance registration is available online through September 5. Participants who pre-register by August 22 will receive a commemorative event shirt. All registered runners receive a race medal, an oval 0.3K sticker, and two craft beer tickets. Day-of registration begins at 10:30 a.m. at Calapooia Brewing. Please bring identification and cash.
