Get ready for a July filled with the sounds, sights, and stories that make Albany special. There’s no shortage of ways to connect with community and tradition.
46th Annual Summer Interior Tour of Historic Homes
Get a peek inside some of Albany’s most beautiful historic homes and notable buildings during the 46th Annual Summer Interior Tour of Historic Homes, sponsored by the Monteith Historical Society and the Interior Home Tour Committee. This beloved event takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025—and the last Saturday in July every year.
Tour at your own pace—walk, drive, or hop aboard the trolley to visit sites in any order. You can even enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride through one of Albany’s charming historic neighborhoods. Stops include several private residences, the Monteith House Museum, Albany Regional Museum, and the Cumberland Church, which will be home to the Cumberland Community Events Center after the full restoration.
Tickets are $15, with well-behaved children under 12 admitted free with a paid adult. Tickets are available at MonteithHouse.org, or can be purchased on the day of the tour at the Albany Visitors Association from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please note that day-of sales are cash or check only. Ticket packets include a wristband and map—both are required for entry into the homes.
To help preserve these historic spaces, visitors are asked not to touch items inside the homes and to refrain from photography or video recording. Proceeds benefit the Monteith House Museum, supporting ongoing preservation efforts.
History Through Headstones
Join the Albany Regional Museum and Riverside Cemetery for the 15th annual History Through Headstones from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, at Albany Riverside Cemetery (1305 SW 7th Ave.). Enjoy light refreshments provided by the Riverside Cemetery Association.
