Indigenous Peoples' Day Celebration

The national origins of Indigenous Peoples' Day began in 1977 as a counter holiday to Columbus Day in an effort to draw attention to Indigenous sovereignty, struggles, and rights.
Indigenous Peoples' Day 2025 will be recognized on Monday, Oct. 13. There will be an Indigenous Peoples' Day Celebration at PRAx from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The evening will offer:
- 5 p.m.: Indigenous Night Market
- 6 p.m.: Keynote speaker and Indigenous Peoples' Day proclamation signing
Join OSU in honoring the ways, histories and contributions of Indigenous students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members historically and in current times.
