Located on Interstate 5 between Eugene and Salem, Albany is a great place to stay and get a taste of Oregon. It's just a little over an hour from Albany to the urban center of Portland, the scenic Oregon coast or the beautiful Cascade mountain range. The Albany Visitors Association is located at 122 Ferry St SW in Albany, Oregon. We're between 1st and 2nd Avenues in historic downtown Albany. 

By car: 
From Interstate 5, take exit No. 233 or 234A/234B. Head west, following the signs for Downtown/City Center/Corvallis. Take the Hwy 20/Lyon St. exit toward downtown Albany. From the base of the overpass, continue on Hwy 20/Lyon St. approximately seven blocks to 1st Ave then turn left. Travel three blocks to Ferry St and turn left. The Albany Visitors Association will be on your right. You can park on the street or in the parking lot at Two River Market one block up on your left. The building is staffed on weekdays year-round and some Saturdays in the summer. Free visitor guides and information are available 24 hours a day in the covered area at the Visitors Association entrance. 

By train or bus: 
The Albany Station is located at 110 10th Avenue SW and serves as a regional hub for train and bus service. Amtrak Cascades, Bolt Bus, the City of Albany Public Transit Service, the Linn-Benton Loop Service, local taxi companies, and other public transit providers all stop here. When you arrive at the Albany Station, walk straight down Lyon Street approximately six blocks to 2nd Ave then turn left. Walk three blocks to Ferry St and turn right. The Albany Visitors Association will be on your left. 

By water: 
Paddling up the Willamette? Pull your canoe or kayak ashore at Bryant Park. From the entrance to Bryant Park, follow 1st Avenue half a mile to Ferry Street. The Albany Visitors Association on Ferry Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues. 

By air:  
Albany is home to the oldest known airfield in Oregon, the Albany Municipal Airport (FAA Location ID S12), which has operated since 1920. You can land your small aircraft here if you're a general aviation pilot. It's just over three miles from the Airport to the Albany Visitors Association. A local taxi service can transport you or catch a city bus at the nearby Linn County Expo Center.

Around town

  • Taxi service: Several companies provide taxi service, including Uber and Lyft. For Uber, download the mobile app at Apple App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android. For Lyft, download the mobile app at Apple App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android.
  • Car rentals: Enterprise Car Rental, Albany (Other close by rental companies are located in Corvallis, including Budget and Hertz)
  • Charging Stations: Find an updated list of charging stations on ChargeHub.com. There are charging stations at Linn-Benton Community College, Wal-Mart and Fred Meyer.
  • Buses: Local buses from the Albany Transit system (541-917-7667) run on three loop routes, serving the city of Albany from 6:30 a.m. to 6:20 p.m.

Around Linn and Benton Counties

  • Linn Shuttle provides transportation between Sweet Home, Lebanon, and Albany.
  • The Linn-Benton Loop system (541-917-7667) provides bus service between Albany and Corvallis, six days a week.

Greater distances

  • Albany's historic train depot was built in 1908 and recently restored. The station is a destination stop for the Amtrak Railroad. (1-800-USA-RAIL)
  • Groome Transportation (877-693-3785) provides shuttles to and from the Portland or Eugene Airport.
  • The Albany Municipal Airport, in operation since 1920, was the first airport in Oregon to be named to the National Register of Historic Places. Ongoing preservation projects at the airport are dedicated to preserving its historic hangars.
