Nuu-wee-ya': Revitalizing an Indigenous Language

Nuu-wee-ya’ is a Pacific Coast Athabaskan language spoken by many of the people who were removed to the Coast (Siletz) Reservation beginning in the mid-1850s.
Nick Viles, Traditional Arts Instructor at the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians will give a presentation on current efforts at revitalizing this indigenous language.
