Albany Civic Theater presents Evil Dead The Musical It takes all the elements of the cult classic films The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 and combines them for one of the craziest, funniest and bloodiest theatrical experiences of all time. Plus, it’s the only show with a “Splatter Zone”—a section of the audience that will get splattered with fake blood. With this combination of blood, jokes, cheesy effects and awesome musical numbers, Evil Dead The Musical is unlike any live show you’ve ever seen. Performances on October 4-6 and 10-12. Join Midway Farms for their second annual Psychic Bar party 5 pm-12 am on October 5! Choose your drink or let the bartenders read your aura and order for you. Vendors will be selling handmade jewelry, art, and snacks, and Tribal Rising belly dancing troupe will perform a fire dance. Have psychics read your fortune or have tarot readers tell you your future. Wine and cocktails, sangria, cider, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. History Bites celebrates National Curious Events Day Noon-1 pm on October 9, Bill Maddy will help celebrate this special day by sharing a few of his favorite curious, weird, unusual and humorous Albany history stories at the Albany Regional Museum. Cider Pressing at Thompson’s Mills State Heritage Site 11 am-3 pm on October 14 and 28. Kids of all ages are invited to help press the apples and watch as golden cider flows from the press. Fresh cider is available for your donation to Thompson’s Mills Preservation Society. They will have storytelling for the younger ones and mill-themed gifts are available. City Hall-o-ween is a free family-friendly trick-or-treat extravaganza held at City Hall. Dress up in your most creative costumes and come collect fun and spooky treats from 3-5 pm on October 29. Register with Albany Parks and Recreation by October 17.
Downtown Trick-or-Treating & Costume Contest – Celebrate Halloween in Downtown Albany with this FREE family-friendly event 11 am- 1 pm on Saturday, October 26. Look for the orange and black balloons marking the participating Albany Downtown Association member businesses. There’s a costume contest for the whole family as well. Bose Family Farm features a pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayrides and harvest decor. Their Harvest Festival will be open September 27-November 2. 35765 Cyrus Rd NE.
Grandpa’s Fresh Market carries pumpkins, melons, gourds, straw bales, cornstalk bundles and hayrides on the weekends. 36483 Hwy 226, 541-928-8778.

Midway Farms has fresh cider, apples, hazelnuts, pumpkins and Concord grapes. All of the farm’s products are gluten-free, and they have lots of baked goods and some chocolate-covered hazelnuts.
