Summer Art Classes with Hilda Rueda
Notan and Composition

In this 5-day, 15-hour class, students will learn NOTAN, a Japanese method using black ink to study value combinations that will produce the most compositionally pleasant design for an art piece. In this class, students will do several value studies in NOTAN and then do a color study using a limited palette.  

All materials will be provided.
